For Illinois taxpayers to keep their government in check and to keep corruption at bay, citizens must be able to see how their money gets spent. The tools are available to put every expenditure online, down to the sub-contractor level (where corruption often goes to hide).

Not only is it critical that taxpayers know where their money gets spent going forward; taxpayers also deserve to understand where their money has been going. It is time for a full audit performed by experienced, independent auditors who know how and where to look for "irregularities."

Big government politicians and their pet special interest groups do not want to show you the books. It is your money. You deserve to know where it goes.
