It is easy to appear generous when spending other people’s money, and we live in an era of particularly generous politicians. But to pay for their generosity, our politicians have created a bloated and wasteful bureaucracy, which rewards the few at the expense of the many.
Taxpayers are paying too much for government, and are paying for too much government. It is time to reduce the scope and cost of government to reduce the burden carried by taxpayers. And it is time to let taxpayers know exactly how their money is spent.
