The question has frequently come up, “What would be the first thing you would do if you are elected?”
It is unconscionable that there is no comprehensive list of State Programs, let alone a comprehensive understanding of what every Program does. So, beyond figuring out where the coffee maker and bathrooms are, my first official act as the Lieutenant Governor of Illinois, with Lex Green’s full support as Governor, would be to distribute a form of this simple letter to all Department and Agency Heads:

This Office will not acknowledge the receipt of any questionnaire which is not completed in full.
