In the past I have asked very little of volunteers, because if everyone does a little, a lot will get done. The strength in this plan is you. If you do your share, your effort will be added to the effort of all others. Together we combine to make a big noise with small voices. The more you are willing to do, the louder our voice will be.
Since we are in a petition drive until June 18th, I need to make sure we all focus our activities. In the past I have asked that you mention my name and the name of the Libertarian Party to your family and friends. I have asked you to write letters to the editor in your newspapers and call in to radio shows. And I have asked you to donate $5 or $10. I now want you to do one more thing.
Download a petition (see link below) and collect ten signatures to get me on the ballot. Twenty is better, because that fills a page, but ten is easy. You can do that walking around your neighborhood. If everyone on my mailing list gets ten names on a petition, then we will add over 15,000 to the cause. This is something you can do in one day and it means so much.
After collecting the signatures, go to your bank or real estate agent's office and get the page notarized. Then you can mail it to me, or email me for further instructions. This simple thing will make a huge difference in Illinois' political landscape. If you are unsure how to proceed, contact me for help.
